
Lhosar Puja at Tharlam Monastery
Lhosar Puja, a sacred Tibetan New Year ceremony, is conducted in our monastery with prayers, rituals, and offerings for peace, prosperity, and well-being. Monks chant sacred scriptures, light butte lamps, and perform rituals to dispel negativity and invite blessings. Devotees join in prayer,marking a joyful beginning filled with spiritual renewal and positive energy.

Buddha’s Miracle Festival. Recite the extensive, medium, and concise Prajnaparamita Sutras.

29th day of the 3rd Tibetan month
Commemoration of Gaton Dorje Chang Ngawang Lekpa’s parinirvana anniversary. Perform the Guru Puja and Mahakala Puja, and display Gaton Ngawang Lekpa’s Namjar robes to the assembly.

18th-day-of-the-1st-tibetan-month
18th day of the 1st Tibetan month: Commemoration of Lama Jamyang Nyima’s parinirvana anniversary. Conduct the Guru Puja and Mahakala Puja.

7th day of the 4th Tibetan month
Birthday of Lord Shakyamuni Buddha. Observe the fasting practice (Nyungne).

15th day of the 4th Tibetan month
In commemoration of the three great deeds of Buddha Shakyamuni, perform the Tenpa Gyechok Puja.

23rd/25th day of the 4th Tibetan month
In conjunction with the commemoration of the yogic lord Virupa’s attainment of samadhi and the parinirvana anniversary of Ngorchen Dorje Chang Kunga Zangpo, perform the Hevajra Puja.

15th day of the 6th Tibetan month
Enter the summer retreat, coinciding with the day Shakyamuni Buddha entered his mother’s womb.

8th day of the 9th Tibetan month
Perform the Hundred times Mahakala Puja.

14th day of the 9th Tibetan month
